Even though i was going home after coaching classes, i wasn't tired. I as full of energy my mind was telling me to do something new. I thought to take a different route to my house. As there is nothing much innovative in it, i thought it would be good to go by a Volvo low floor. Precisely speaking, it was my 6th or 7th time in a Volvo. It is better to say that i got addicted to the comforts and luxury offered by it. It also gives me a different perspective view of people and journey. It is to this view, that i am more addicted. Usually while travelling in an ordinary bus, women are always busy to occupy their reserved seats, and most of the times refuses to share the common seats. But things are a bit different in low floor. There are no reserved seats, and ladies are quite comfortable sitting next to men ( may be the bucket seats ensures them a territory of their own), and even shows no hesitation to occupy seats at the rear end of bus. Students are treated well. No one dares to litter with a bit of paper, and doesn't tag or vandalise the seats...
I had to wait for my bus, meanwhile i thought to ring a friend. I was enjoying the call and something came and hit on my left thigh. I swayed, but maintained my balance. Before i was about to figure it out, i saw a boy, with a school bag mounted on his back, like a backpack used by mountaineers. It reminded me of my school days, and the fucking back pain i used to have due to carrying the heavy bag. I think he was a 5th grade student. May be 6th or 7th. These days you can't predict the grade of a student by his size. Few are oversized, while few are undersized. But i was sure that he was not more than a 5th grader. I went on with the phone, and noticed him struggling to cross the road. An elder one could have crossed th road in a medium traffic flow conditions. As i was on phone, i didn't pause to ask him whether he was trying to cross the road. So i gestured with my hand, and before getting his consent, i got him by his right hand, and walked across the road. As soon as we reached the other side, i gave a pat on his shoulder. Just like a sheep jumping down from the hands of a shepherd, the boy ran happily, to a car showroom nearby. Most probably his mother might have been employed there. I guessed it from the way he went to the showroom. If his father was the employee, he might have walked slowly, with little hesitation to go in after bidding me a farewell. Anyway , i made a new friend, and we had a short journey; shortest, better to say...
The girl was still on the other end, and i hung up the line as my bus just arrived. I stepped into the bus, and got a seat near a lady. Don't let your mind wander. She was a bit old. I enjoyed the journey.....
on my way, I saw a book fair, and i wanted to get down there. But my ticket could take me till the last stop. So i thought to continue the journey and enjoy the most of it. I took a walk for about 3 kms to the book fair. The fair was disappointing, and had to take a bus to home. If i came by the usual way, i could have saved 50% of my time and expenses. The walk and journey was for nothing....We may commit such pranks in our life too. If i didn't take a different way, i wouldn't have had a chance to help the child, and probably i wouldn't have got a friend; new friend of course....I am about to tell about such a prank, which...obviously got me a friend back to me....Sorry...the post may be a bit long...Bare with me....................................................

I believe it. Faith won't fail.....Now its her turn to take a choice that proves me right or wrong.....She might be reading this,...If so, please understand that i had spent plenty of sleepless nights, with an effort to melt the ice with a small flame of hope in my mind........
And we all do many pranks for no reason. This post is a best example.... I wrote for no reason, and i removed it for a reason.....Pardon me...bear with me. I took a lot of effort to write this post. So didn't want to delete it completely....So let this be a story of my small friend i met on the road.....

ReplyDeleteI liked ur recollection of being in volvo..
We have to make few compromises and sacrifices in our life, shouldn't v? A pen is mightier than a sword. We may exhibit our skills with a pen, but incase it hurt someone, the wound, that it may not even heal...
regarding reactions. I have also thought about it....give me 2 new options other than interesting....
reactions: "needs working".. "worthwhile".."disastrous" hehe... it needs sum negative reactns also, nah?? lol
